If you permanently migrate to Canada, do you have to file taxes in Australia?

I just sent a self addressed express envelope and took a photo of the tracking numbers on that one and they are fine with it. I actually did send the 57 because i was confused and then we had a few emails back and forth and i said they could just keep the 11 dollars difference ha. They also said they could send it back and i could do it again but i didnt want to waste time

Did you get yours back yet? We screwed up and forgot the photos so we’re wondering if they’ll return it to us or if we can just send the photos now.

My file transferred to Sydney office in March 2018, but not a single update
December 2017 applicant.

Have they started your background check?

After your file is transferred to the visa office and once your background check has started expect no updates or contact from the VO for at least 6 months.

This stage is your background and security check (they run your details through RCMP, CBSA, CSIS and other agencies including USA bio-metrics) They also verify your PCC and background. It can take anywhere from 1 month to 6 months it really just depends on your individual circumstances, travel and criminal history (if any).

For some; like me with a extensive travel history and sadly a criminal background (minor one) it can take a lot longer than 6 months. I'm a 14th July 2017 applicant and stuck in Background check since December 2017 .

How long did it take Sydney VO to start the background check once PA application received?

From what I can understand in my GCMS notes they received my file early September. Background check started in mid December.

14th July 2017 file received in Canada, Transferred around September to Sydney VO.
