I just sent a self addressed express envelope and took a photo of the tracking numbers on that one and they are fine with it. I actually did send the 57 because i was confused and then we had a few emails back and forth and i said they could just keep the 11 dollars difference ha. They also said they could send it back and i could do it again but i didnt want to waste time

It feels like very few applicants transferred to Sydney.
My file transferred to Sydney office in March 2018, but not a single update
December 2017 applicant.

After your file is transferred to the visa office and once your background check has started expect no updates or contact from the VO for at least 6 months.
This stage is your background and security check (they run your details through RCMP, CBSA, CSIS and other agencies including USA bio-metrics) They also verify your PCC and background. It can take anywhere from 1 month to 6 months it really just depends on your individual circumstances, travel and criminal history (if any).
For some; like me with a extensive travel history and sadly a criminal background (minor one) it can take a lot longer than 6 months. I'm a 14th July 2017 applicant and stuck in Background check since December 2017 .
