Our ecas has not been updated since June when they started reprocessing our appealed case. Delhi has had my husbands passport since Sept 29th, and since he has never been outside of india I am hoping that it wont take too long.
Well its been more than six weeks for me too .Wonder whats taking them so long ,hopefully will get an e -cas updates by tommmorow ,every minute seems like a day .Its very hard to be patient ???
I dont get it. why bother to ask for your passport if they are not ready to stamp it?
My husband back in june was asked for a copy of his passport and the free pages along with new PCC etc. in Sept they asked for his passport. I dont know why they asked for the photo copy, that makes no sense to me. He has never travelled anywhere so I would think the CSIS check would be pretty fast. So I dont know why it takes them so long to stick a stamp on a passport. surely they have done all the checks needed within a short span of time. I have read some get their passports back in 7 days while others 14 days or a month. How come some get faster than others? I realize if you travel to another country it takes a bit longer, but they are just running a name through arent they? It really takes 7 weeks to do that? I dont get that.

yes 26 days since nd began processing still no ppr for my wife , I actually talked to an immigration consultant acquaintence of mine and he pretty much told me sometimes it can actually work towards your favour if get ppr late, but just being more skeptic I am more worried about the mail getting lost than anything else but he told me wait atleast a couple more weeks before sending a case enquiry, he said he has seen ppl get ppr within 7 days to sometimes 4 months depending how simple to complex the case is , and my case is very simple , so I guess bear the weight of some more wait again . Thx for the support
When my husband got his PPR it was aleast a month after the file was transferred to delhi. I believe he got the ppr and was called for interview in the same letter. I am not sure since it was long time ago.
i know its hard, but dont get too anxious yet. IF there is a back log it could take a bit longer for them to send things out. It also comes regular mail and so depending on where you are it might take some time to get to you.

Hi Boyee, when your husband got called for the interview, how far out was the date?
We got the PPR letter, then a letter to provide some more info about my divorce. My MP received a response letter from them saying that we were in the queue for an interview, but haven't heard a thing, which is making me panic!
