yaa! even my PPR said send PP asap! Background check will be an issue for me cz of frequent travel + I was in the US for 4 yrs. But u all rightly said, its a game of luck
minku9 - Traveling to Canada should not be a problem cz I read somewhere that they do police clearance checks from within their system thats why one is not even required to submit Police Clearance from Canada! It should be very quick and easy for them!

Your up next Xyrus, and I am about 10 days behind you...from what it seems like...its taking them 3-4 weeks AFTER the open the app in ND, provided the case is straight fwd...now this last "tail"is just killin' me!!!

I really cant see how it would delay ( but I am only assuming) your processing since it was canada that you were living in. Canada does its own security check anyways so dont know what they would do differently other than maybe check little deeper but I dont really see it taking much longer. I have seen people get their passport back in 30 days. I just hope when they ask for my husbands passport that they stamp it fast. We had had to go through appeal. 1 1/2 years is too long for a night mare

But my case is not straight forward as we have re-applied + visas on my passport.
But I feel better when I think about the game of luck theory Hope we all get it soon!!!

Hi people I wonder If it matters when you send the passport and when it gets to Delhi , If they stamp them as priority or first come first serve. That might explain people with the same time lines but passports not returned yet.

I think they just require passport to stamp the visa.no matter whose passport reach first.when the background check is complete visa is stamped.no two cases are same,so is their time taken for background check.And cases are assigned to different visa offiers and everyone has his own style of work.It might make a difference if they ask for passport to hep them in background checks.All I can say is
immigration process at this stage is unpredictable!!!!!!!!!!this is what I have learnt about this process so far.hope it helps........
