I haven't been able to link my paper application to my GC account for three months now. I've tried many suggestions from people who have experienced the same problem. Does anyone have a fool proof method? I would like to follow the proof my application in detail.

include the sponsor in the count (so if its just you, the number of people on the application should be 2, if you and a child, then 3, in that order....

Yes you should when the baby is here not before i think and its even clearly stated. You must always inform cic of any change like birth, death, divorce change of adresse etc etc

I had my doctor write a note stating my condition, and due date. I included it with the application before mailing. I also informed them after I gave birth. But I don't think it made a difference for us. It's worth a try though hun. I know what you're going through. You never know, yours may be different.

I applied 2014 August and they ask as more proof on May 2016 and we submitted that again they ask us to do re-medicinal and police clearance since the previous was expired.
