How long did it take from when they received your passport to when the visa was issued?

PPR May 12. Visa issued June 1 and Visa at hand June 8

I am not familiar with transit visas but each time I have traveled to Canada I used mostly KLM airline. We transit in Amsterdam and as long as you don't leave the airport you should be fine. Keep the faith!

My file was transferred before 24th Feb.it was initially filed on 8th October. But someone I applied before,has gotten passport request.please what should I do now? This is very excruciating! I don't understand how they work.

When you check your status on CIC's website, what date does it provide where it says "We received your application for permanent residence on xxxxx xx, 2014"? I think they go by that date, at least that is the trend that I was noticing for a while. So it's not actually they date the Purolator delivered the file, but the date that they first looked at the package and found all of the documents to be present. I had originally filed mine on October 5th, but because a document was lacking a signature, they say that they received my application on November 24th, once the signature was provided. Because your file wasn't transferred until February 24th, I'm guessing your official "application received" date is sometime between Oct 8th and February 24th, but I could be wrong. What I've noticed is that they go by the application received date, and I think Mekus' November 3rd application was the closest to November 24th that I've seen PPR'd to date. I hope this makes sense.

well sometimes it's confusing the way VO handle applications and one cannot tell or say exactly what is going on, all we do is to encourage one another base on the result we get from the forum because MsLisaN App filed 03-09-2014 and MEKUS 03-11-2014, MEKUS got Passport Req before MsLisaN, I guess MEKUS received mercy of God and that's what every one is praying for the mercy of God for a quick response, I pray that this month to next month July will be favourable one for all Nov/Dec Applicant and we should hear from the VO...Have mercy oh LORD!

I did my medicals last year.it got expired on April/May.I noticed that the status of my application was touched. It was on 8th december and it got shifted to 9 September. Just confused.

if your medical expired in April, does it mean you did another medical in May this year?

Hang in there the VO will get back to you, I discovered that sometime the VO work with the validity of your medical and since you just did your medical again that means they have enough time to still keep your application for processing but be expecting to read from them soon, you don't need to contact them until you discover your processing months is over and now they extended the processing months to 16 months, so with God all things are possible let the mercy of God be upon you for them to speed up your app.
