almost 4 months since application got transfered to accra and no word from accra !! omg !!

I suggest you order your GCMS that will give you an idea of what your file is up to cos from what i have seen the timeline is usual 4 to 6 weeks to schdule you for interview after recieving your file..

Pls am new here and i send my application on 28 august 2012 and yet still ave not recive AOR frm cic that they ave recieved my application.is it normal to happen that way? cos my friend dat i send mine before she did ave recieve an email frm cic dat they ave recieve her application now. am begining to worry pls share ur toughts wit me

The average processing time at Mississauga is now only 35 days, so your app is a bit behind schedule. But it is too soon to worry about it; the time it takes to process the sponsor's application does vary, and just a few months ago the processing time was more than two months.

Hi All,

Just wanted to say "Hello" since I have been reading your comments/questions/answers for sometime. It has been extremely helpful. I thank you all for sharing the details of such an emotional process. My application to sponsor my husband was received at CPC Miss on October 18th 2012. Seems like I made it in just in time...now that the conditional PR is in effect.

You should get an email or letter. Sometimes people do not receive one, however. If your friend did going through the same office at about the same time, then I would expect one. Try not to worry (yet); there could be no problem and they are just taking a bit longer than usual to check the sponsor.

@ Canadianwoman. What does DECISION MADE really means to the applicant - with PR staus determined and Approval status determined.

DECISION MADE is not necessarily a good thing, because the decision could be to reject the application. However, most applications are accepted (something like 80% are accepted). for the sponsorship part, the acceptance rate is even higher. So usually DECISION MADE is a good thing.

Thanks . Is there any way to ask the visa office to speed up the final processing .I tried calling them but they wont receive calls regarding PR visa even if the sponsor is the one calling. Could be annoying somtimes.

Also, who sends the permanent residence Kit to the sponsor ( Cic or VO) and when are they suppose to send it, Is it before applicant arrives canada or after landing and whats the kit all about.

hi everyone,please i need your help.my sponsorship application was received on may 18th 2012,and my file was sent to ghana in september 17th 2102.since then i have'nt heard from ghana and no update.its like 6weeks now,i haven't heard anything as regard interview.please how will i be notified about the interview date?.i am in canada and my hubby is in Nigeria.i am a bit anxious.is there anyone in the same date that has received an interview date?please reply.thank you
