Check your online account (GC Key) for your final decision and you should see approved.

The update on "approved" didn't come as an email. It was updated in the online account (GC Key). So no need to worry.
Congrats!! Glad you got the collection email cos you were worried about medicals.

Which other documents did you add to the mail from IRCC, letter of consent, passport and passport picture?

I saw it on my GC key. Then I got email from CIC the next day.

Guys I didnt recieve an email saying that my passport has been approved but I received an email saying its ready for collection should I be worried?

I think the people who didn't pay the courier fee up front are getting ready for collection email. I paid up front, haven't got that email.

I hope Ghana people send our passports back soon.

The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. Xxxxxxxxxxx has been dispatched from the IRCC Office, to the Canada Visa Application Centre in CVO.

I'm a bit worried, have anyone had this experience before?

I got this email.
So contacted VFS Lagos and said that it isn't here in VFS Lagos yet, so I guess it is still in Ghana.
Anyway VFS Lagos said it is in transit to VAC and they will notify when ready and we will be requested to fill a courier form and send evidence of payment.
So its to pray and wait then....

Well I'm in Ghana so it shouldn't have been that hard to contact quick for the address.

Since you are in Ghana you should be fine. I guess when you contact them they will tell you how to pick up your passport,so you are good. For me, I still have to wait for VFS Ghana to send back to VFS Lagos.

But I paid the courier fees at ecobank, in and out, I don't know why it should be like that, I tought they will mail it back to me in takoradi via DHL.

You would need to contact Accra VFS. I can't provide any helpful info.
I didnt pay for courier initially. I only just paid today when I got the "ready for collection email from VFS which even said to contact VFS Nigeria for further info". But VFS Lagos said the doc is still in transit so I just figured it's in Accra and on its way to Lagos.
So like I said, contact your Accra office. You should be able to call them and even email cos they respond to emails same day (at least VFS Lagos, cos don't know much about the Accra office).

Give it a few days, they'll contact you or mail it directly to the address you provided.
