Well Gary, you need to tell me your secret as I seem to be the poor relation!! I cant access MYCIC as a company is doing it for me and ECAS will not let me log in as it says my app may not have started the process yet, when could you access ACAS bud?
Hey mayn, dont feel low. Honestly there is no clear pattern in express entry yet. The only thing i can think of is that a VO may not do a very rigorous background check for people who are already working here and had all their experience from one single company. On a similar note people applying from outside canada show their foreign experience which might be a factor that delays background check. Because it might be easier for officers to do a background check in Canada as compared to other countries. But these are all assumptions.
I see it this way that its only been a montb i had applied and i expect it to take couple more weeks before i could see any major movement of file.
I was also not able to see my ECAS for about 2-3 weeks. You can try checking it both with your EE AOR and your UCI number.
I tried Gary but no luck, I am now at the 8 week mark and nothing, no movement, im starting to thing that if I didn't speak a word of English and worked in Mcdonalds, I would have had my PR by now
Hi Chad,
At least they have started your background check ey!! Good luck buddy, the way this process is shaping up, we will need a lot of luck indeed ;D ;D ;D ;D
So, today (2nd June 2015) I finally managed to log on to ECAS ;D ;D . It doesn't say much but better than yesterday!!
CIC requested my CELPIP scores which is strange as they had them sent in my application??

So, again people, another update, today (Wednesday 3rd June) I received another document request from CIC, my two daughters who live in England with their mother, the girls are aged 8 and 14, I have been asked to get them to a registered doctor in London, Brentwood, Manchester, Birmingham or Plymouth to have a medical carried out, unfortunately my ex will never allow my daughters to move here so why oh why does CIC request this info? Its a minimum of 2 hours each way to one of the doctors and I have been informed by the company I hired to do my PR paperwork, that CIC may refuse my PR application if I cant get my girls medical done?
Anyone else had this problem? :'(
Why don't they advise you before they make you wait over 2 months then drop it on you and give you 3 weeks to get it sorted?
Crazy
My medicals were passed within days after applying and got my background check turned to in progress with in couple of days as well. Ever since nothing has changed.
My timeline is in my signature and yes i applied from within canada.
Exactly same time line as you...No update at all... One thing i am worried about is that my background changed to "In progress" pretty quickly... for others it changing gradually... don't know if there is anything to be worried about...

I wouldn't worry pal, there seems to be absolutely no rhyme or reason to CIC's process or thought to this process, I think they are learning just as we are. I was unable even to log in to my ECAS until yesterday after submitting my application on April 2nd!!

Im sure you will be fine, its just a case of 'hurry up and wait' im afraid. I know someone who I work with that submitted their application last week and already its been rejected as he put the wrong info in it so no news, in this case, is good news I think
