Sailing in the same boat as you except that my BG is still "not started"...

Your response gives me some courage, JB007. I've been wondering about my BG check status still showing up as "Not needed at this time" even though medicals were passed on June 21st. It seems from most responses on this forum that BG check status moved to "In progress" shortly after medicals were approved.

Hello mate, my BG check started before my medicals were "passed". Also there are many people on my thread that are convinced that only Jan, Feb and March back log has been cleared so hopefully will be moving on to Aprils AOR applicants, they are all inside Canada as am I so if anyone is applying from outside Canada I cant comment.

Hi, the Jan, Feb and March back logs that are been cleared, are they application within Canada? I read somewhere, that CIC is focusing more on applicants within Canada for now. I really hope they start to process April and May AOR's regardless of location.

Thank you for taking the time to respond! Any bit of insight is very helpful.
Can someone please advise me on how I can order GCMS notes?
What are the procedures and how long does it take?

Some people have their back ground checks starting on the same date as their passport request. So I'm not too worried

And some people have their Background Check in progress since day one... So, no need to worry about the "abnormal", for anything is possible with CIC.

Hi there,
I am a May applicant received AOR on 1 May.
My last update was on 19 June for ECAS becoming "in process".
It is over three weeks now since the In Process update. I know there are quite a few people mainly April applicant still waiting after 19 June.

Very similar with your timeline but mine was requested for RCMP on Jun 8, and what about you?
