This might be a silly question but in schedule A form in mother's name,,,they ask last name at birth,,,,do people generally by default give mother's surname after marriage or actual surname at birth,,,,,if I write my mom's surname at birth,,,,it won't match my passport.

Your decision is almost surely positive. For me, the wait between decision made and PPR was the longest week I've lived through yet! But it finally came, and yours will too.
Hi,dobes, congrats on your copr!It only takes one week for you to get your copr. For two of my friends the waiting time is 15 days. Is it just luck or is there any way to expedite the process? BTW, why can't they send us the second ppr directly... what a waste of time!

It could be luck of the draw, but I thought it might be because 1) I am in Toronto, close to Ottawa - traveling time each way was only over 1 night, and 2) my partner and I are both from (different) visa-waiver countries, so we only had to send copies of our passports, not the real versions, and so CIC did not have to affix anything to our passports.
Looks like the processing for May AORs has slowed down. Still waiting to hear from CIC after application went to in process on August 14th. very frustrating.

it looks like there is some activity for the few April AOR remaining applicants. Most likely we will be seeing volume updates for May AOR in the next couple of weeks.

I guess the need for signature on schedule A is for your spouse. I was only requested to submit first page since the request letter is only for myself, and I selected the "principle" at the head of this form, so I only submitted first page without signed last night as CIC requested.
