I am also planning to apply any time before OCT. However, I need some advice on this-
I want to apply as Food service manager; and the experience I have is 2 years as a superviser or store manager at Godiva Chocolatier and my qualifications is an honnours degree in international business management, I don't have qualifications in hospitality. Can I apply with this qualification or? Thanks for your advice.
1- you meet 67 points criteria.
2- have atleast 75% of the JDs performed against this NOC and can produce documents to support the claim
3- + all other requirements.
degree is not an issue in this case..infact business degree is quite ok in this one..

I guess there are different experiences regarding sending copies that are not notarised. There will be lots of opinions about this.
The second issue is more serious. Transcripts in my view are evidence that -
1. you have comepleted the course that you claim you have
2. the duration of the course - this will determine the points VO will give you for education.
I cant suggest really what you should do but you might get some more opinion from senior members if you post your question in a new thread.

No, I have not misinterpreted any info - I send copies of birth and marriage certificate and not notarised copies . Also, I did not keep an explanation why transcripts were not provided although I had a reason to.This is now worrying me as I think I should re-apply and not wait for the docs to be returned as I am losing time then - please could you share your thoughts?
where does exactly the Canadian embassy will check our proof of fund? during the eligibility checking at the CIO or in our own VO because Im afraid we have to get a little amount in our saving wherein, our savings is exact amount that the embassy needed...

One of the member "crazyberns" got CC charged, on 20th July 2011, his/her application was received on 4th July 2011 - a total of 16 days.. not bad!! I think now we would get more interesting news (on CC/BD charged) from other members as well..
