The importance of wage/salary when applying for CEC

Hi,

For the job I am claiming points for I had a wage of 20.25/h (in 2017) and $20.80/h ( in 2018) for a 40 hours week. I am applying thorough the NOC 1221 and the average wage for that NOC is around $23.50 - 24.40 right now. Is it based on a 30 hours/week? Is it ok if I am a bit below that rate?

Does it play any role in VO decision whether to approve the PR or the salary/wage is more like for verification purposes to make sure that the applicant is actually working the job he is claiming points for?

You should be fine. Looks fine to me. Median wage is always a bubble, and the VOs know that.
