Please I have an urgent question. Does province still do checks on our relatives if they still reside in where we claimed at federal level? Especially Saskatchewan. Will there be problems at federal level if our connection leave the province after we get nomination? Your contributions are needed
Hi @legalfalcon
Just noticed from ATIP that my Criminality is still in progress due to RCMP Screening in progress. However, I see that RCMP has updated No Reportable Trace since Feb 2021. So this means that an officer from my VO needs to update my Criminality to make it 'Passed' right? Biometrics is passed too. Everything else is sort of Passed except for Criminality and Security (which has not yet started).

Security check started in February 2021. I got CBSA notes, and it shows one activity
1. Type : Security, State : In progress, Date : 2021-02-22
How can I know if my husband is in SS ? I saw that usually CBSA notes shows more details about the security check.. but can't find anything except that it is in progress.

Can you check confirm how long it will take and is there any issue of o order notes every month is there any impacts on my file?
What do you think about background check for quebec skilled workers category for PR
Do they go in depth to verify work and study history? Since it's already done to get CSQ from québec?

The Provincial laws and federal laws are different. Even if a province has approved an application, that does not mean that IRCC too will approve it or bypass certain checks. Provincial immigration happens under the respective Provincial laws and regulations, whereas IRCC processes the application pursuant to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and regulations.
Both these are separate and have no correlation, except that an applicant gets 600 points for the nomination.
When it comes to security checks, that is done by federal partner agencies, CBSA, CSIS amount others

hi @legalfalcon
I have my ICT work permit in progress outside canada from USA, it was applied on 27thAugust 2021 and now I check, it says background check in progress.
what should i do, it is already more than 2 months? not a PR request, I have never landed in Canada.
This time, i have requested new work permit using new passport, i had approved WP last year but could not go due to covid restrictions.
@legalfalcon please I need clarification. My AOR is Oct 2019, my file has been stucked at review required by an officer since feb 2020. Last week my background checks changed to not applicable from we are processing your background checks, we will send you a message if we need more information.
Current status from GCmS is eligibility on recommended pass, criminality passed, security not started and info sharing in progress. Is it safe to assume eligibility has been passed?

Solely based on BGC status of MyCIC you cannot assume that eligibility is conclusively passed.
BGC included criminality, which usually happens early in the processing and security screening, which is usually the last stage. This is why the BGC status in your MyCIC account changes twice, to in progress, then to N/A, and then again to in progress.
To be sure if your eligibility is passed, you should refer to your GCMS notes to call IRCC to find.
