Hello @legalfalcon

can you please help me to know what could be the reason that my security has not started? My pr application is now over 7 months old. Everything on my application is passed and completed according to gcms notes. Does that mean something is wrong in my application thats why they are not starting it?
I never got any ADR or anything so far. Im a CEC applicant and have already crossed 5 months standard processing time.

Under program assistant notes it says
PA: Statutory details located in separate GCMS note

Under criminality it says
Recommendation: Review Required - Stat questions - pending Biometric-RCMP Results

What does these notes mean?

thank you in advance.

Hello Legal Falcon,

Thank you so much for your assistance. I would like to know your opinion on that.

I received notes on the 15th of March and noticed that eligibility was set to Failed. On the tracker, eligibility stage has been completed since January 16th and it was the last update we got.

However, the case is still in progress. Does it mean the case will be rejected? We only received ADR for PoF and passport copy on the 10th of January. Do you think I can do something? I called IRCC, an agent suggested raising a webform, and she confirmed that the case is still ongoing but couldn't say a reason why eligibility failed.

The latest updates on notes are from the 15th of January. My spouse had a tourist visa refusal, so that's why there's a stat question.
What happened to your case? Was it approved?

this is indeed a long time that you have been on security. do you mind giving a guide as to how to apply for csis? will it display details of the dependent is that's the person on SS?

Simply follow the prompts on the website; it’s easy.
If you are in Canada, you can request the notes from CSIS or IRCC using this link: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en. If you are not in Canada, you will need someone to assist you with obtaining the notes by giving them consent using the consent form found on the website.

Additionally, both the main applicant and you must sign the consent form to access information on both parties' applications if you are a dependent.

This note was entered in error. See it in the context of what's before and after. Also check on top right corner, if you have a section number listed for the redaction?

You should have received a PCC request.

I applied for visitors visa online but due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to attend my scheduled biometrics appointment within the 30-day deadline. When I visited the VFS Global office in Lagos On thursday (8/11/2024), I was informed that my biometrics had expired. Please what can i do?

I had received PCC request on 13th September but this entered in error was corrected on 10th October. section number 21 and 26 are written of privacy act on the top right hand corner.

I also got a re-medical request but my security is still in progress. Is it normal or is it worrisome?

Thank you very much. in this case, where will I access the consent form?

What does it mean when your background status changes from not applicable to we are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need something.

I have stuck in security screening and in sept got ADR for PCC and Schedule A.

Background check status changed from not applicable to we are processing your background check. I was asked to provide PCC and Schedule A for myself and also my spouse background check is completed. Further, I have been in security screening for 4 years, so now in this context what would this change in status would mean ?

Hi @legalfalcon and experts,

I was transferred by my company from CountryA to CountryC. During this process, I took a vacation in Canada. Here's the timeline:

For example:
June -> Left CountryA
July -> Visitied Canada on tourism.
August -> Arrived CountryC and continue my employment.

For the "Personal Activities" section in July, should I list it as "Unemployed and on vacation"?

I’d appreciate your thoughts on this.

Hi @legalfalcon ,

A few months ago, I had a heated argument with my wife, and she called the police. When the police arrived, they questioned us separately.

During this time, I was briefly handcuffed and told I was under arrest. However, after questioned my wife and discussed among themselves, the officers had me apologize to my wife and instructed me to leave home for 24 hours, then released me on the spot. I was only handcuffed for about 10 minutes.

I wasn't taken to the police station for questioning or fingerprinting, wasn't charged, and didn't receive any paperwork.

I beleive my PCC is clean.

We're about to apply for permanent residency, and one of the questions asks if you've "been detained, incarcerated or put in jail?"

In a broad sense, "detain" includes any restriction of freedom by police, regardless of duration. By this definition, this would count as being "detained". However, IRCC question lists "detained" alongside "incarcerated" and "put in jail," and according to responses in this post, they're likely asking about more "serious detention" that at least involves being taken to the police station for questioning.

so , can I answer "No" to "been detained, incarcerated or put in jail?"
