Applied on Aug 2023, from Oct 2023 waiting for Background Check. Nothing worked, email, phone call, MP request.....
They hold my joined dependent application because they are waiting for my Background result. The only thing that I am afraid of is no one actually looking into the application and it is caught up in a sort of technical issue.

Looks like IRCC is operating on a subscription plan for me, one update per year. At this rate, I'll get the next one November 2025

They seem to be very slow in following up on their end, particularly with background check requests to third parties. I've seen processing times stretch to 3-4 months in reality, with the background check being the main factor contributing to the delay in the process.
