that is our timeLine when our father sponsored us under Live in caregiver..i was a member in this forum when our papers is stiLL in process 3 years ago ithink..

I actually haven't heard of anyone sending their application to Sydney getting AOR yet. I hope that the switch doesn't slow down the process.

I just submitted our application today! I hadn't realized that sending to Sydney was something new. What is the concern/implications of this change?

Yes, it was very recent. I think they changed the outland spousal sponsorship CPC from Mississauga to Sydney in early June. Since then, nobody have been sure how fast or slow the applications will be processed. The average Application Received date to AOR date is up compared to before.

Hi! I just sent our application last July 3 and they received it last July 6. Waiting for AOR

Just for information I sent application to sponsor my wife outside of Canada and I am in Canada,

Package Delivered on: June 18 2018
Got email with AOR on: August 08 2018

Yey! So it is moving then. We just have to find out how fast they can process our applications.

The sad thing is that Canada Post's drivers that were under contract in Nova Scotia are on strike right now. This will probably affect August applicants. I will suggest that August applicants use a courier instead for the meantime.
