I moved to Canada in 2018 on an intracompany transfer. I am on a work permit that expires on Dec 2020 with my current employer. I do not have a PR yet.

Now, I accepted a job offer from another employer. They are doing my LMIA at the moment. I would like to know what will happen or what are the next steps once the LMIA is approved

1. Do I need to send my passports for new visa based for the new employer based on LMIA?
2. Do I need to go to any of the land borders to get the new work permit printed out based on my new employer?

The new employer informed me that I might need to go to the land border for new work permits but I wondering how can I get the new VISA stamping in my passport. Will that be done in the land border as well?
