Surname addition in all documents

Hi, I have an Indian passport which does not have surname. The reason for same is ,my education records also do not have surname. Hence passport does not have.

Because of this my PR card,landong doc, health card does not have surname. They all just have first name.

Now I would like to add my surname in all documents.

Could anyone please let me know the entire process for this.

If you've never had a surname then you cannot 'create' one. You would need to change your name legally first

Thanks for the reply. When you say, you need of change name legally. Does below will do the needful?
If I add my surname in Indian passport then what is the process to add surname name in PR and other documents.
Will my new passport is sufficient for authority to add my surname in PR card and other documents .
