My in-laws have just left to go back to the UK after a fabulous visit and are considering applying for the supervisa. There's a 15-year age gap between my mother-in-law and father-in-law so we envisage at some point my MIL will want to spend more time with us here in Canada. My concern is my FIL, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010, completely stable and the only treatment he has is a hormone injection every 3 months. I'm concerned even though prostate cancer is generally not recognized as anything too serious in men of his age that it might make him inadmissible. Neither of them has any other medical conditions, pretty good for their age! Our plan at some point will be to apply for PR for my MIL so that when the time comes and she's widowed she'd be able to come and move here with us permanently, but I know this is a longshot!

only way you can apply is through the parental sponsorship Canada program ,this one is based on lottery basis ( a certain number of application is selected from a pool of candidates that applied .PGP 2022 already done with every year everyone waits for the announcement and criteria and if its going to happen or not .as for the medical condition ,no one in the forum can advise you if they will accept or not the medical condition that you mentioned ,so if you had a chance to apply next year and accepted to sponsor the best shot is to put your mother in law as main applicant coming with the father in law and go through the process and wait for the results since this is related to two people that you care for .

Thanks, we already reached out to a handful of insurance companies and most of them will cover him with the condition, so hopefully that's a good sign!
