My parents are granted supervisa and i live in Manitoba, one of the coldest place in Canada in Winters. As winters are about to start i do not want my parents to come here now but in summers.
1. After the supervisa is granted is there a time period between / before which applicant should enter Canada or one can enter anytime in Canada even after a year of getting the Visa?
2. I heard that the Medicals are valid for one year but not sure if that validity is for applying the VISA from date of medicals done (one need to apply for visa after getting preliminary medicals done within one year?) OR this validity is for entering in Canada from the date of medicals?

Many Thanks,
1, No
2. Medical exams are valid for one year to apply for TRV, , not relevant to entry date. They don't have to do medicals for each visit.

1. it should say on the visa for how long it is valid.. norm ally is within six months you should enter Canada.
2. Medicals are valid upto 1 year and yes it will affect when they enter Canada.. Border security ppl checks your medical papers and it should be valid otherwise they will ask you to do medical exam again...

1- Visa is valid till the validity of passport or one month less.
2- Medical is valid for one year but I am not sure if that is enforced. The only thing that might be enforced is the Medical Insurance. You can call the insurance provider and change date of arrival. I don't think you need to re-do the medicals ever again unless you have to apply for visa again.
They won't as long as they enter Canada within the expiry date of the visa. Make sense? So if they were issued a visa for 10 years, they have 10 yrs - 1 month to enter canada using this visa.

In order to qualify for the Super Visa and bring your parents here you must be a Canadian Permanent Resident or a Canadian Citizen by the moment you apply.
Check out the CIC Website to learn more on who is eligible and how to apply.
You will also need a proof of medical insurance for 1 year and at least $100,000 total coverage that is purchased from a private Canadian insurance company.

I agree that you got mixed answers. Both replies have some truth in it. Normally. the POE officer won't check your parents' medical papers; they will check if they have minimum of 1 year of medical insurance. But they can ask/check almost anything relevant to "entry permit to Canada". So, my advise to you is to make them enter Canada within 0~8 months from the date of visa given. You said 7 months; it's perfectly alright. Just make sure the insurance you buy/bought has a validity of minimum 1 year from the day they arrive.
