Super visa for parent visiting canada with US Green card

My mom is visiting canada, she has US green card. I would like to apply for super visa so she can stay longer than 6 months. can I apply in canada or does she have to apply from her home country?

As far as I know, TRV applications in Canada are reserved for those with work or study permits. Not sure about super visas. Answer the questionnaire to guide you further:

If she is already in Canada, then she'll have to apply for an extension of stay. Applying for a super visa now won't allow her to stay for longer than 6 months.

I see, I wasn't sure if it's possible for his mom to apply/qualify for a super visa if his intent was to have her stay for over 6 months without needing extensions, part of why I advised him to answer the questionnaire.

If you do not need a visitor visa to enter Canada, you can still use the parent and grandparent super visa to stay in Canada for up to two years.
