Applying for Super visa while in canada

Hi There,

My mom is on a visitors visa to Canada and her visa expires by the end of this year December2019.
I plan to apply for her Super visa while she is here on the visitor and would like to know if i can do the same. The super visa category mentions that you can apply for a Super visa from Outside Canada, in that case, can she apply for a super visa from the USA? She does have a visitor visa to the US, will she able to get her biometrics for the Super visa done in the USA as a visitor there or does she have to show proof of address in the US? If not, what are the options to get her stay/visa extended while in Canada.

You must apply outside Canada as per the rules.

. The reply is from CIC's Twitter handle. I understand that the processing of super visa may happen outside of Canada but I want to ensure that my parents can travel to Canada on visitor visa while that is happening.

Unfortunately sometimes customer service gives out the wrong answers.
