Super Visa Application while already having a valid TRV

Hey all,

Here is my situation:
1. Parents have their TRV already and have previously visited Canada multiple times.
2. TRV Expires end of the year and they need to travel to Canada for a wedding this June.

I want to apply for a Super Visa for them, so they have a visa for 10+ years and we don't have to worry about them travelling to Canada.

Question is, has anyone here previously applied for a super visa while they had a valid TRV?
Should I put anything specific in the letter of invitation or explanation?

Yes they can apply for a supervisa while already having a TRV. Ask for a stay of over 6 months. Length of visa is always up to IRCC so 10 years is not guaranteed.
