Hello Everyone,

I applied for my parent's super visa in Dec, 2021. My mother already has a visitor visa but my father doesn't. Here is their timeline:


Application Submitted: Dec 15, 2021 (upfront medical)
Biometrics updated: Mother's biometrics were already done for visitor visa, (request for father's biometrics Dec 16, 2021)
Biometrics submitted: Jan 4, 2022
Medical Passed: Feb 17, 2022

No updates after that.

Anyone else sharing this timeline and waiting for a response? It's been more than a month since they passed the medical., but no update Is it normal ? '

My mother's medical passed on Feb 22. No update after that

You are there. Your review is started. So hold on, you will hear soon... Its actually 3 months max from the date eligibility review started. Do you know when it started?

Parents Received stamped passport today with PG1 and visa expiry until validity of their passports


Timelines:

1st Application GC key :25Mar2021(IRCC withdrew)
2nd Application IRCC portal : 25Oct2021, with upfront Medical
3rd Application IRCC portal : 14Feb2022(IRCC cancelled)

11Mar2022– Medical got updated for both as “PASSED”.
11Mar2022: After few hours received BVL and PPR.
11Mar2022: Raised VFS webform

16Mar2022: Passport Pickup

21Mar2022: Delivered Chennai VFS

22Mar2022:Transit to Bangalore VFS

23Mar2022: Final to IRCC Bangalore

28Mar2022: Passport Stamped with PG-1

29Mar2022: Passport received


2nd application was considered and approved!

Should I reapply for a super visa? Does she need to retake medicals if applying for 3rd time?
The last option is to apply for a visitor visa. Pls suggest.

Her medical is expiring if she did in mar2021, she 100% needs to re-do medicals. Sometimes they dont ask, but when passport is sent for stamping they dont stamp or at border they will issue visitor visa of 6 months.

Did your mothers eligibility start? Is it like - "We are reviewing"? If so wait.

in reality, BG clears first and then eligibility. But both are marked as complete with date when passport is stamped. Until then they remain in process.

Oh ok...But Eligibility definitely starts after few weeks or months right? one would never get PPR with eligibility not started. Correct?

Yes Eligibility status by default is something like "We will let you know when we start review", when they start it changes to "We are reviewing".

if you see that Eligibility status , that means BG was completed. And then medical should be passed. then you are somewhere close to PPR.

you are right without Eligibility start one cannot get PPR..

Yup like my parents n law they have to redo medical and I booked there appointments in April

I think u should talk to ur mp and find out what’s going on with the case
