Applied on 22nd jan.. Closed work permit extension. Approved today 21st April.

I applied for BOWP on Feb 26. No update so far.
My current work permit will expire on June 1st.
What happens if do not get the work permit until June 1st? I guess I'll go to implied status. Am I able to work after June 1st?

Yes you can legally keep working after June 1st even if you don’t hear from cic

Update: I applied for a closed work permit on January 24 (Inland, from Quebec). It got approved on April 21.

I applied on 17th Jan for work permit extension and got an approval today. I would say just keep faith, CIC is still working in this situation and yours work permit would be arriving soon.

Do you happen to know how they provide work permit paper? Do they send by mail? Do they need passport for that? I don't have my passport as it is stuck in CPC Ottawa for CoPR issuance.

Hi everyone,
We applied for SOWP inland on Feb 15th. Still waiting for any progress. I read somewhere that Inland SOWP timelines are counted similar to work permit extensions.
So am I in the right thread to keep tracking ?
