SUCCESS LINKING APPLICATION

After trying to log in in GCKEY I have failed but now I can open my application at ecas after I submitted the updated form last 3rd of September requested last August 22 2017 and I got active on the 5sept.

Not sure but I left it empty. There is another post from another user on this thread that has 3 different ways to link. Two of them say add pp info. Try those.

Hi All,

Give those a try and hopefully one of them works out.

Steps that have successfully worked to link your application to your online account! (myCIC)

1. Log in with GC Key account
2. Permanent Residence - Family Class (Spouses)
2. Application Number and Family Name - Copy/paste application number from email (including the F) and enter PA's last name
3. City of Birth - enter 1 space (hit spacebar once)
4. Country of Birth - Select PA's country of birth
5. Passport Info - Do not enter any passport info
6. Other Application Info - Fill out the other application info as per your application and put '2' as the number of members in the application for sponsor + spouse (add +1 per dependents)

OR...

1. Log in with GCKey account

3. Application Number and Unique Client Identifier (UCI) - Insert application number and UCI from email
4. City of Birth - Insert PA's City of Birth
5. Country of Birth - Select PA's Country of birth
6. Passport Info - Insert Passport number, issuance and expiration info
7. Other Application Info - Fill out the other application info as per your application (Province, City and marital status) and put '2' as the number of members in the application for sponsor + spouse (add +1 per dependent, if any)
8. Click on the 'Search for myapplication' tab
9. Then on 'Link my application' tab

OR...

I wondered about the same. I just exceeded the 5 attempts that you get in 24 hours to link and application. I tried it with the applicant (not sponsor) details. Really don't understand what I put that was not correct / their required format.

Try giving it a few days and then try again. Thereafter if you still cannot succeed, try giving the call centre a call to ask for other suggestions.

I just did it and it didn't work.. I got 2 more tries before I.m blocked for the day

Just create another account. I did 3 accounts finally got it linked.
We used account number and family name. Left city and country of residence blank. Use a computer so you can use a mouse to bypass the city and country.

finally linked it today, after calling the call enter (a several times before it connects) the agent said
1. Use UCI and App no.
2. either you fill in the place and country of birth or passport details but never both
- whatever you choose leave the other blank even though it says required.
3. fill in the info regarding the city/province you are applying in
4. put married
5. No. of people in the application=2

P.S I choose the passport details option and that's where I succeeded.

It finally worked!
I put "single" in and it worked!
The first ever visitor record that I received was when I was single. Maybe I was registered in their system as single.
I put "2"
I left DOB blank

I did that, I wrote every combinations i did. It helped!
