My husband is currently working in canada on a closed work permit. He applied for me(wife) and our 3 kids (13,11,4) year old to come to canada with him.. we applied in august 2024 for an open work permit..and 3 study permits for our kids.. request for passport was sent today 15th October 2024. However, my smallest child age 4 was refused due to not needing a study permit.. the visa officer is saying to apply for a visitor visa instead because pre-schoolers don't need a study permit. However on ircc website states that you can apply for study permit for minors if studying for more than 6 months. Should i send a letter to ircc reconsider the refusal ??
