I submitted my application for PR in FSW Inland December 16th last year and got my AOR immediately. There has been no update since then.
Now I have admission for a PhD program which I Plan to begin in September. Is there a chance a decision can be made on my PR application before September or should I begin applying for a study permit? Also, will applying for a study permit affect my ongoing PR application?
from a website: Applying for a Canada study permit and Canadian permanent resident status at the same time is referred to as “dual intent”, and such practice is common and accepted by Canadian immigration law.
However, i've heard conflicted stories about some people who got refused the student permit and other who were accepted. If I were you i'd suggest you to check with a lawyer
