Supposedly, they are a good sign but it can also be a long time from the moment you received one and the final decision on your case. In short, what you actually need is a decision on your application, not ghost updates. If your application has exceeded normal processing times, submit a webform and contact the VAC via email. Not much else to do...
its been over 14 weeks, i sent them so many emails and webforms; no response obviously. i had to be on campus 3 weeks back but rather fortunately i tore a ligament in my foot, im incapable of moving for a few weeks and so i can delay being on campus by midterms, which are in under 6 weeks so yeah now im worried im going to lose that scholarship and it was also my gap year so i dont know what do.

Not to depress you but my wife's application took 19 weeks to receive PPR and a couple of more weeks to receive the stamped passport. So you might still be looking to one month or more of waiting...
I believe there is no restriction for him to sponsor you. You just have to ve very careful when explaining why is he the one sponsoring you. If you are older, also consider it is best to apply with your own funds and not with a sponsor.
I received my "Biometric validity letter" today after two months of my "medical exam pass", is this a good sign? I my study permit application on june 4 2022. Please guide!

Something happening with your application is always a good sign. However, there is nothing one can do while waiting for a decision other than that, wait.

Secondary clearance most likely refers to security screening. Although for TRVs the security screening is a quick turnaround, some applications can take longer.

Hi everyone, I’ve hears cases of visa denied and reason being that “we don’t think you’ll leave Canada at the end of your study” on this forum. My parents are in Canada on study and spousal work permit respectively and my younger siblings are there too. I’m thinking of applying to a university there. With my whole immediate family being there is my chance of getting rejected due to the reason stated above high?

The only way of knowing if you will be rejected or not is by applying. However, having your whole immediate family in Canada will definitely be a major challenge to overcome. You'll need to show super strong ties to your home country, at least enough to compensate for the fact your whole family is in Canada. Good luck!
