Hello, I applied for my student permit in Aug 2024 for the 2025 January intake, completed biometrics but still no response. Is there a chance I get the permit on time or should I defer for next semester?

You may but you still need it stamped.

You would have to go to a land border, and flagpole. May need to book a time depending on border office.

Are you aware that you won’t qualify for another PGWP. It appears that you are trying to extend your stay in Canada by returning back to study. Will the 1 yr at Seneca actually help your application without any potential work experience after the degree?

Yes I'm aware of that, yes it will help me. I still have 3 years of work experience before this degree on my profile.

Even I am in the same boat. I applied in October 2024, not received the decision yet. I received the correspondence letter but no update after that.

Sorry to hear about your delay! The IRCC does typically slow down around the end of December so it’s unclear if you’d get the permit in time. I applied for my student permit extension in June 2024 in Canada, I still do not receive my document yet.
