Study Permit for summer intern?

I am currently enrolled in a Master's program, and the Summer term (May-Aug) is considered as a scheduled break for my program. I have accepted an intern offer for this summer, and the duration is May 6, 2019 - August 23, 2019. The intern does not count toward any credits. Can I work for the intern with my study permit without applying for a work permit? Do I have to have a Co-op work permit in order to start the intern?

You can work full time on most study permits during scheduled breaks. Check your permit it should say if you are allowed to work off campus. Is this between your 1st and 2nd year?

On my study permit, it is marked as "May accept employment on or off campus if meeting eligibility criteria as per R186(f), (v) or (w). Must cease working if no longer meeting these criteria." And, yes it is between my 1st and 2nd year.
