Study permit for short term course 2021

Hi i applied for a visit visa through my lawyer in canada. My course is for 4 months at the time i was not need a study permit, however i am being told i will need to apply for a study permit. In pakistan we are currently under lockdown and all banks are closed. I cannot get an updated bank statement through atm as my overseas account does not have a card would my bank statement from my visa application still count?

Yes, you need a study permit. Your bank statements must be within the past 4 months. So December to March.
