I would like to seek your advice whether my spouse status would affect the chance of my study permit application?
My wife is a PR and she has come back to Canada for six months. I am not a PR or Canadian and has been working overseas, I would like to take a 8 month diploma course in Canada which is very good for my career advancement. I just found out that the application form is asking about the status of my spouse, just wonder if the status of my wife will affect my chance of getting the study permit if my wife is a PR and currently living in Canada. I am planning to apply for PR after finishing my current contract oversea in 3 yrs time.

But the issuing body can't see the logic? I should have applied the PR sponsorship if I want to stay in Canada. I am applying study permit only, obviously I don't want to overstay in Canada.
