That's what happened. I deferred to the next semester and informed the graduate head of our department about my situation and everything went smoothly with no troubles!

When you told your department to defer the term, how long after did they issue the LOA for the next term? I am worried that the university will again take several months to issue a fresh LOA for the next term (which is next fall 2022) and then my visa application will again be delayed rather than having a head start.

HI Did anyone else got student visa after waiting 7 months? I applied in Oct 2021 and still in process. Deferring course deadline is next month. What should I do? Keep studying or defer the course?
