Study permit extension

Hello guys, hope you are doing well.
I wanted to know about study permit extension within Canada.
As I am in 2nd semester of my first program and My study permit expires on july 30 2022, and my 2nd program will start from may 10 2022, so I need to put the study permit extension now? Or once I am done with my 1st program which ends on april 22 ? And what documents do I need? And do I need to do medical again?

Would apply now as long as you have your LOA. Wait time for extension is long.

You shouldn’t if you’ve been in Canada the whole time.

Yes I am in Canada since August 2021. So in that case I don’t need to? And what documents should I attach? Do I need to write the SOP again?

If that was when your study permit started hem no you shouldn’t need another medical but there is always a small chance. You should attach your LOA, proof of funds and include an explanation that you wish to further your studies by taking a second degree.
