Study permit extension

Hello,

I live in Canada on a study permit issued in November 2016 and I applied for study permit extension as my study permit is about to end. I know that study permit holders with study permits approved before March 18th are exempted from travel restrictions, but what about when I get my new study permit. Will I still be exempted?

How do you prove to airline personnel tho that your initial study permit was issued before March 18th?
