Study permit extension

Hello. I applied for study permit extension on November 4 2019, I’m done with my course. I got course completion letter. I didn’t get my extension yet. Can i go ahead and apply for work permit instead of waiting for extension?

I applied my study permit extension on Nov 6 and still waiting for my extension.If you have already applied extension before your study permit gets expire then you are safe and I suggest apply immediately after getting your graduation letter in order to get full time status.

I have same situation as you if you are in implied status you can’t apply for the pgwp until your study permit extension is approved because it’s an rule .But if you have valid trv you can travel to home country

I had same situation and so I went to meet immigration consultants, since I had my legal study permit expiring 30 Dec, you can go ahead to apply for PGWP before its expiration which I did and now waiting for the work Permit. If your permit has been expired then you cannot apply for PGWP

Yess I have a very bad luck because my college haven’t handed over my documents before study permit gets expire.Because of college I am in this situation.Otherwise I would have applied my pgwp bad luck
