Hi! Congrats to all that had their SP ext. approved and Success in adv. to us( me inclusive) the 1st time SP applicants.

Any that also applied on 22 June? I did & still praying hard for approval on time because school resumes sept 8.

When is it right to ask school for deferal should application process takes much time beyond school resumption date Sept 8 ? Advice plz

You have to discuss with ur school. It differs. Most times, it can be 2 weeks after resumption. So it's cool u bear the date in mind so u can defer before the deadline. So check the school deadline for deferral date. It's easier to defer esp due to delay visa approval. Most schools have reservation for this.

I saw the change in status on MyCIC yesterday afternoon and it indicated that my application was approved.

And today, I received an email notifying me that my application has been updated.

Waiting for the letter to arrive now with the actual dates and details.

About a week but since last week it was Canada day so it might get there a little later. 7-10 days usually.

They just updated processing times. Last week they were on April 10 applications And this week, Still on April 10. One week passed and they didnt move a single day.

This is ridiculous.

Cic can be very annoying. It's so sad the application date is not getting better.

My employer has told me to stop working till work permit is renew.

j submitted application may 15.

Pls is it advisable to call cic. The waiting is not friendly.

My school has advised me that you can call CIC and ask them to email a confirmation that you have implied status and can carry on working while you wait for your extension. Maybe if you do this it will satisfy your employer?

I have applied for my study permit extension on 28th May. My classes are supposed to start on 4th September.
Do you think that it'll be approved on time? Especially because they're still analyzing the 10th April applications.

As long as you are in Canada, you can study under the implied status, my suggestion is not to leave Canada while waiting for your SP. Good luck!

I applied June 9 and my study petmit expires July30 and I graduate August. Ending. I worried If they will still approve my study permit. Because I want to apply for post graduate work permit. I did a four year cause anybody in situation know anyone this happen too to help me please.
