Study permit extension - July 2020

Hello everyone,
I applied for study permit extension on July 27th 2020. I didn't need biometrics as the old ones were still valid. Didn't hear anything from CIC as yet. Is anyone in the same boat?
any updates for July applicants who didn't need biometrics?

My friend applied on June 26th for Study permit extension and she haven't heard from them yet.

I applied for study permit extension without biometrics on 23rd June and still waiting.

Did you received a bio metric correspondence letter before you got your approval?
If yes, could please advise how many days apart?

I received Biometric Instruction Letter on the next day of applying i.e. 24th June buy I did not give biometrics as they are exempt so did not receive biometric correspondence letter.

I actually did not have to biometrics because last time i did it was in 2016 so it is still valid.
but they still send the biometric letter. I guess as long as the biometric is still valid they will send the letter.
Hopefully my application got updated soon too.

Congratulations! I got approved today as well! I received the correspondence letter yesterday and got approval today!

Got extension Sept 15. Applied July 29. Did apply for gcsm note. Got my note Sept 11
