I applied for student permit extension on may 5 and I will complete my program by august 31 ...I don’t know what to do bcoz I can’t apply for work permit until I get my student permit extension...any solution?

Yes you can ...I think but in this situation it will lead to more delays as you are applying from outside ...it is better to apply from canada

I've been waiting almost 5 months for visa extension even though I've already graduated on Aug 31st...

Online? Was your documentation in order? People seem to be getting extension in weeks now, definitely call.

I just called to IRCC and what an operator said was that they are still unsure about processing time due to COVID-19.
Still plenty of other applications are in processing, so the person whose application has extended recently might be simply lucky.

I called them a week ago, they said Your application is in the last stage of the process but I dont know how many days it gonna take.
