Hi, my permit expired March 31 st 2020.
Applied for extension : January 10th 2020
No biometric asked (wonder if I miss something there), but I got a french biometric passeport
Still waiting since then. When I call the help center, I get the same answer, my application is still being processed...

You don't need a transcript to apply for extension actually.
For those who applied in November and waiting- My classmate applied on Nov 20th and got her study permit extension approved on Apr 28th..you maybe getting yours in a few days..just hang in there

I've been following this thread for a while, may as well share my timeline:
Feb 5th : Application submitted
Feb 14th : Biometrics done
April 30 around 11:00am (Pacific time): Biometrics correspondence received
Now anxiously waiting for the result.
I'm an undergrad.
original study permit expires on July 31st.
Update: just got it approved

I’m complaining bc I applied jan 6 and people from February being approved, wouldn’t imagine how Nov folks are feeling now duh

her previous study permit expired in march..she did not give biometrics and it was not required at that time..they started collecting biometrics from dec 3rd/4th I guess

If it is the same program for which you had your initial admission and SP, no problem.

I've been reading this thread and I just want to give support to everyone , as this is stressful and the IRCC agents don't necessarily understand the stress we go through for an education or even for work. Anyways, lets continue being patient. I received my biometrics validity letter today. I hope to get my Study permit extension soon. Down bellow is my timeline , I hope this helps someone , because I know your different timelines were a great help to me
