Well it does. Your WP application will not be processed unless your Study permit extension application is close (approved or refused).

I received my correspondence letter yesterday, so I guess my wp final decision would be made soon.

No brother! I don’t remember anyone’s name I call them to get the info for my application not their bio-data .

I have applied on Jan 29th, updated my bio-metrics on Feb 3rd, received my correspondence letter today, does that mean I will get the decision soon?

Congratulations to you! I didn't mean to doubt you, yours was just too much of an anomaly. Interestingly, everyone on this forum who applied within that time frame hasn't gotten any updates on their applications regardless of how long they applied to extend for.

It is so hard to figure out why certain applications are selected over others. That just throws all our theory's out the window.

Applied on 17the Nov, still no response. I have sent them a web form 2 times but they never replied me. Idk what’s going on it’s been over the usual time limit!

Guys, please check your application pages to see if there has been any updates on there. Incase we don't get an email update.

Also, is it possible that as popular as this website is, nobody knows how application are assigned to case officers? By date? In alphabetical order? By age?

Surely, there must be a reason why those applications weren't processed.

Hello everybody, I got approved.
Applied for study permit extension on January 16 and got approved on April 28. I do not know the exact timeline because my lawyer handled it.
Stay tight and you will get it.
