Study Permit Extension Delay (September 2019)

I called to IRCC and she informed me that she can see the same status what I can. The reason for going back to working on applications from Aug 19 to Aug 2 may be due to backlog of old applications that were not processed due to some reasons.

She cant inform more than this. For my application she informed that review of eligibility is not complete but your application is open. Open mean its with VO and he is working on that.

So the agent on the call today stated that there is nothing they/we can can do and we should not leave Canada for Christmas if we don't have a visa. I understand the times go up and down, but I believe this is unacceptable considering we follow their rules.

There's nothing you can do either.
It's better to wait and see what happens.

The current processing time is 100 days, rounding up.

If it goes higher with the next few weeks, applications might be delayed.

your applying date and which application?? SP as single applicant or joint with spouse??
