hii i got my study permit on 23-10-2019.
i was accepted conditionally for computer programmer at Algonquin college because i didn't have IELTS so it was required to be registered in ESL (English as a second language) at Algonquin to have the required level and then i will be unconditionally accepted. so when i arrived to the borders the officer told me he can't give me study permit for 2 years. and he gave me study permit for 1 year with a condition that i am not allowed to work off-campus. and he told me to finish my ESL then apply for extension for my study permit and change the condition of working off-campus.
now as i am talking i am done with the language course and i got my acceptance letter and i am ready to apply for the extension.
Is it now the right time to apply or i should wait to see what is going to happen about the outbreak?
Just apply as apart from IRCC staffing levels maybe affected and thus slow things down there is no restriction on contuining to submit applications that I have seen at least. You may not hear much but at least get your application in and then be patient
What i am scared of is that basically i am going to start my term on may so the extension will be built on this timing so what if the term got delayed that mean that they will not approve the extension what do you think about that

Your permit expires in October? I would say its a bit early to apply now maybe 4 months out or so. I dont think anything will be rejected if terms get pushed, IRCC will use some common sense due to the extreme situation. Also its probably going to be online study so everything will continue.
