Yes, it will come soonest.
 
I went to Service Canada to ask about the same issue. They said I can study/work with the expired SIN until I receive my physical copy of the study/work permit.

Question: Will I get a digital copy of the study permit before it is mailed to me? Asking this since I have to renew my SIN.

I applied for my extention on 24th Oct, still waiting on approval. My study permit expired on the 27th of November 2024.
Although i finished with my program in December 2024, im in dire need of the approval as i do not want to apply for my PGWP on Maintained status which mean i wont be able to work unti PGWP is approved.

Once the passport is delivered to CPC Ottawa for Visa stamping, do they notify you that they have received our passport? Can we contact IRCC to ask if they have received our passport?
