Hi, I am already in Canada on study permit but my course will not start until January. I have been offered an LMIA exempt job and have now applied for a work permit. Can you have both work permit and study permit? (NOT IEC or youth as I am 43) Or will my work permit be refused? Has anyone here done this? Thanks!

1. No, you are either a full time student, allowed to work 20 hrs per week during the semester, of a full time worker, who can't study.
