Study Permit Challenges for Nigerian Applicants

Good day everyone I would like to ask a question I applied for a study permit on the 23rd of March 2020 and have been receiving slow responses I did an upfront medical which expired and was requested to do another one requested for new acceptance letter which I sent a Verification of Enrollment letter instead I received a bvl 2 days ago and I don't know if dat is a positive sign wat do I guys think.


PS: I also have a valid visiting visa

Please I need help urgently. @Omofar and everyone, where do we send our passports to in Nigeria?
I went to the VAC today and I was told they don’t collect the passports. I’d have to use DHL. But I dont know what office it’s meant to go to? They were so unhelpful! I couldn’t even enter the VAC. I basically got all this info from the security guard.

I finally received PPR & BVL this morning! So excited. When am I supposed to receive the letter of introduction? Do they send this after they’ve received your passport? I’m not too sure how that works.

Hi! Has anyone answered your question? If not please go to the nearest FEDEX office to you, there you will be provided with the steps and requirements to submit your passport for stamping. It is pretty easy once you get there.

Please I need some guidance, I have my TRV issued and study permit approval but due to the COVID restrictions at my DLI I can't step on campus till I am full vaccinated. I will be eligible to commence my vaccination in Nigeria in January 2022. My current study permit approval expires on 31 March 2022, I will be in Winnipeg before then but I want apply for my visa and study permit extension by the end of December 2021 while I am still in Nigeria.

Please how can I do this? What forms do I fill?

You can’t extend your permit outside Canada, only when in Canada.

Please can I apply for the study permit extension as soon as I get into Canada (mid February) which is a full month before my study permit expires (31 March 2021) or would you advise me to apply for a refresh study permit from Nigeria in December 2021 so I can have an application in process while the current one is still valid?

If you are coming to Canada before the expiry of your permit, then extend when you get to Canada.

Then it’s the one the agent used. There was a charge back on the payment. You have to pay it though.

How did you pay your own... because that letter was sent to me... and I don’t understand how to pay it o
