Study Permit Applicaiton - Do I need to resubmit IMM 5257 if i already have a TRV?

Hi,
I already hold a TRV. Now i am applying for my study permit. What shall i upload in my IMM 5257 option? Do i need to reapply for a fresh one (which doesn't make any sense)?

No, applying for a TRV together with the SP is optional. It makes sense to do so though, because if I remember correctly, you don't pay extra for it if you apply together with the SP. In your case, you don't need a TRV anymore so you can leave it out.

But my TRV will expire with my Passport i.e in 2024 where as my studies will be till 2025. What would you like to suggest here?

They won't issue you with a study permit beyond your passport expiring; if you want maximum time, renew your passport, or you can extend after you renew your passport later when that time comes

Thanks for your reply. I was not aware of this. I will go for the later one, as according to my country's guidelines, i can only renew my passport 1 year before expiry.
