I was accepted to a college in Toronto for the January intake. I currently have all of my documents and finances in place for my study permit. My common-law partner will be applying for an open work permit to accompany me. I would like to know whether we should apply together under one online application, or I should apply first and once I have my study permit, he applies for his work permit. I am not sure which method would make our chances better. Using the eligibility tool, when I select that I am applying for a family member also, they require way less documents than if he were to submit a separate application. I don't want to be unable to provide all of the information I need to. Also, would a paper application for both be better than the online application? I am so overwhelmed as to how to go about doing this and I have so many questions! Please help..
