I cant believe I'm finally getting to write this..
I got my ppr today, i applied from dubai. This is my timeline

Paper application- 14th may
Rejected- 19th june

Reapplied- 12 July
Received correspondence- 19th August
Received ppr- 20th August

Well i have been waiting since 25th june for my study permit. Its 55 days now and i didnt receive any updates after my medical updated on july 16th. After sending 4 webforms, today i got reply that they have sent my case details to responsible office. My profile also got updated at the same time i.e around 9 pm today and my eligibility review started. I have some hopes now.
I want to say to all those of you are waiting for long time, please do not loose hope. Stay positive.

I did. We were told applying with spouse open work permit may take 10-16 weeks to get approved. We are currently at 14 weeks, applied May 14th. I've seen others apply after us and both get denied as well as the spouse has been denied and the study permit approved, but yet to see both get approved. I hope it works out for you. Did your spouses medical get updated too? Only my medical is updated at this time.

Yes both of our medicals got updated together..
